I am not a chef, by any means, but I do enjoy trying new recipes. This is a collection of my latest favorites and tried and true family recipes. All have been husband approved!

Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 and 1/4 C all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 C butter, softened
3/4 C white sugar
3/4 C packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 and 1/4 C semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 C walnuts (optional)

Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Note: I omit the nuts and add more chocolate chips. You can never have too much chocolate!
